The official name of the Thousand-Armed Kannon is Senju Sengen Kanjizai Bosatsu, a Buddha with compassion who wants to save all living beings without missing anything.
The benefits of the Thousand-Armed Kannon Bosatsu are all worldly benefits, such as protection from disasters and recovery from illness. In addition, it is said to have merit in marital harmony, love fulfillment, safe childbirth, and fertility. One of the characteristics of the Thousand-Armed Kannon is that, because it has many hands, each hand is holding an object (jimotsu: Buddhist implement) that is said to bring good fortune.
