Sunshoan Lantern
- Stone Lantern
- Pedestal Lantern
The Sunsyoan style lantern is characterized by its hexagonal shape. It is one of the three great garden lanterns and is famous for being located in the tea room “Hitoutei” at Ninna-ji Temple. When placed on a base stone, such as a garden stone or stepping stones, it stands out beautifully, creating a rich illumination despite its small size. The lantern features a simple structure without a base, pole, or intermediate platform, consisting of just two components: a one-piece cap and the firebox.
